AtacamaStargazing

Private Stargazing Tour

The private tour is a stargazing experience in San Pedro de Atacama with a guide, transport and observation station exclusively for your group. It is two hours with a fixed structure - one hour of telescopes and one hour of snacks and photography. The price is USD 450 for groups of up to 6 people, plus USD 50 for each additional person, up to a maximum of 12.

Private Stargazing Tour

The Private experience puts the Atacama sky at your group's service: a guide, transport and observation station exclusively yours. Ideal for families, couples or groups who want a dedicated experience.

The exclusivity is your group's, not the site's: the observatory keeps operating normally and the adjacent shift may run with another group at the other station. What you never share is your guide, your transport or your observation station.

What the night is like

Two hours with a fixed structure: one hour of telescopes and one hour of snacks and photography. What adapts to your group are the topics — the guide develops whatever interests you, with all the time to ask, look and enjoy the silence of the desert.

What is included

  • A dedicated guide in Spanish, English or Portuguese.
  • Private transport for your group.
  • An exclusive observation station for the whole shift, at our Tulor observatory, with seven telescopes: Unistellar eVscope, Celestron and 12-inch Dobsonians.
  • Professional astrophotography and up to three high-resolution photographs, included at no extra cost.

Price

USD 450 for groups of up to 6 people, plus USD 50 for each additional person, up to a maximum of 12.

Wow — what a spectacular experience!! Being able to book a private tour at the last minute was fantastic, and the booking process was seamless with excellent customer service. The powerful telescopes they use make the stargazing absolutely incredible. The stars are so breathtaking, even to the naked eye. We even saw the Southern Cross with our own eyes! The team is amazing at explaining every telescope and process of how stars are created in a way that’s easy to understand. They are so patient and accommodating to our needs, even moving cameras for those of us who could not easily navigate the sand dune. The wine, juices, pisco, and charcuterie boards are wonderful, and roasting marshmallows by the fire makes is so nice. The photos they took are absolutely stunning. If you book a group tour and the weather doesn’t look like it’s going to cooperate, don’t hesitate to contact them about switching to a private, maybe later in the night tour. It’s not that much more, and it is absolutely worth it! Our tour started very late (midnight), but it was absolutely the best choice. These are photos from an IPhone, not their professional photos and not from a telescope. ✨

It was a wonderful experience to see such a star-filled sky. I enjoyed taking some interesting photos with my own camera, but even if you can't get the perfect shot yourself, you can rest assured because a professional photographer takes high-quality photos for you.
